It’s been a slow process getting this blog started. Opening myself up to criticism terrifies me. Do I really know enough of anything to put my thoughts, opinions, feelings, research, etc. out there for all to see? Probably not. But, my desire to build partnerships with like-minded people overrides my fears (well, at least enough for me to write this.) So, this is what this blog is going to be focused on…building partnerships.
As an educator, building partnerships is essential to success. Educators build partnerships with their students, colleagues, administrators, and support staff. We attempt to build partnerships with families as well. This often proves to be the most difficult. It’s a delicate balance that, unfortunately, is easily thrown off-balance. My goal with this blog is to help balance that partnership. I want to provide a space where teachers and parents can come together with open minds and open hearts to move our little learners along. This will be a safe place to ask questions, get answers, and share ideas. We are all heading toward the same destination…Successful Student Land! Let’s help each other get there.

The partnership between parents and teachers could really benefit from a space like this. Thank you for focusing on this area of need.
